Photography has always fascinated me from the very first time that I “helped” my father print black and white photographs in our cellar “darkroom”. I bought my first 35mm camera when I was in high school and never looked back.
Trees and other elements of nature provided a lot of inspiration as did the telling of a story through pictures. Later water and boats became the focus of many of my photographs. Often it was the abstraction of light and shadow or color relationships that caught my interest.
In the last few years I have been to many fiber festivals and enjoy walking around with my camera to capture animals and people, color and texture.
Early mornings hold a special essence, and solitary wanderings allow me to see things I might otherwise miss.
Here are some of my photographs. I hope that you enjoy them.
